[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: Yuri Lowell
Age: 21.
Gender: Male
Canon: Tales of Vesperia
Timeline: Post revival of Undine

Character History:
http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Yuri_Lowell

Character Personality:
Many would describe Yuri as unsocial and generally rude. For the most part, he's exactly that. He doesn't like to filter his words to others, often times coming off as mean when he's just speaking his mind. Some may find this honesty nice, while others will find it slightly annoying or even enraging. Despite all this "brutal" honesty, he actually has a hard time expressing is true feelings, and will rarely admit when he's actually sad or worried, or even grateful at times. He has no qualms letting his anger or sarcasm show, however, and that's partially why so many would quickly label him as a bit of a jerk. He also may come off as anti-social, again, due to his upbringing, he isn't the best around other people. He likes to make believe that he's just fine on his own. But past all his harsh words and facades, he really means well, and wouldn't honestly hurt someone if they hadn't done something to deserve it.

Having grown up as part of the lower class, he also has little regard for social hierarchy, and will speak to a king just as he would speak to a passerby on the street just as he would to higher, powerful force of nature. He doesn't care what or who you are, if he doesn't like you, he's going to show it. Likewise, if you're one of his friends, he'll go out of his way to protect you, even if he wouldn't like to admit it. He's more mature than most young men his age, due to the kind of harsh life he's lived, orphaned at a young age and raised in the lower, poorer parts of town, often oppressed by the nobility and knights. He has a strong sense of justice, and believes the wrong should always be punished, and that weak should be protected. He will never stand by if someone is in danger or being harmed, even if they are a total stranger to him. He absolutely hates the unfair treatment the empire gives to the average person, and goes so far as to even fight the knights and local law enforcement over such things as taxes (Yuri has also been thrown into jail so often that he treats it like a joke).

He does have an immature side to him though. He gets along great with children, and shows a lot of love for them. He also isn't above making jokes out of situations and pulling pranks. He can be rash and almost stupidly brave at times, having full confidence in his strength and abilities. When he's believes that he can get out of a situation (which he almost always is), he'll easily treat it like a game.

Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
Yuri is a good fighter, due to the harsh world he lives in, as well as being trained under the Imperial Knights. Even without a weapon, he can hold his own against most people, and knows how to evade and when to strike in any fight. Outside of battle, however, Yuri doesn't have very many skills other than cooking, a skill he learned growing up, in order to avoid having to eat the horrendous cooking of his best friend Flynn. He's no master chef, but he has good knowledge of what foods will taste good together, or what spices may help enhance a meal.

Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:
-Yuri's courage and lack of fear can actually play against him. He will throw himself into dangerous situations, caring little for his own well being, and while it has not killed him yet, it's only a matter of time before he gets himself into something even he can't win.

-While he is no introvert, Yuri's way of dealing with others, due to how sarcastic and blunt he can be, is not always the easiest to deal with. This can be a heavy disadvantage when working with others or taking part in most social interactions

[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]

What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign? Bullet-form is fine.
-Natural strength and dexterity will be retained, as this is due to his own training.

-Knowledge of swordmanship will be retained

What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign? Bullet-form is fine.
-Loses his abilities to perform artes (due to losing the ability to use his blastia). While he is strong on his own, his artes played a large part in his fighting in his canon, and so it will be disorienting for him without them at first.

The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
For all his rudeness and sarcasm, Yuri is a man who won't stand by and let the people around him get hurt. He will fight to protect the innocent and weak, and has a strong sense of justice, and even has a history of working as knight to protect the people of the empire. He would be a prime candidate for the BREW to bring to Death City, as even in this new world filled with people he doesn't know, he will fight to protect them from the forces of evil.

[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]

Why is your character a Weapon and not a Meister?
Yuri is a fighter and protector. He would want to be the one who is the closest to the absolute center of battle. He gets a thrill from fights and danger, and so it would be fitting for him to be the weapon, the object of the attacks, the one who charges first into battle.

What is your character’s Weapon Form? Why?
Yuri is a demon sword, due to his knowledge and expertise in the ways of fighting with one. He would take the form of a katana, sharp blade along one edge, blunt on the other. In a way it's almost like himself, with a sharp tongue and blunt words. Because it's a one handed blade, it would be well suited for faster attacks and sharper cuts, akin to his own fighting style that favors speed in his attacks. During partial transformation, he can change his right or left arm (being ambidextrous) into a slightly shorter version of the blade.

What is your character’s Weapon Ability?
Yuri's power would be the enhancement of his Meister's physical speed, increasing their offensive ability in battle. They will be able to attack faster, evade better, etc. As Yuri's power as a weapon increases, the ability will become stronger, and he will allow his Meister to become even faster.

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
Daring, brave, sarcastic, lazy, unorthodox, understanding

What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
It would be gray, with a pony tail shape meant to mimic how his hair is kept when he decides to tie it up.

[ SAMPLES ]

Provide a First Person style sample in the form of a post to the DEMISE network.

[ The video feed opens up to the face of a young man, who seems to be brushing some hair out of his face, not really focusing forward. ]

So I was just thinking. A lot of us are weapons now, right? I'm a sword, like what I fought with back home, so...what about the rest of you? Got something like what you used to use where you came from? [ He closes his eyes, absentmindedly still playing with his hair. ]

Just a random question. This whole thing just got me thinking, is all.

Provide a Third Person sample set during the last minutes on their world and/or their first few moments in the Kishin Chamber.

So this was it, huh?

Yuri looked out to the world below them, his eyes stopping where the oceans, skies and land all met on the horizon. All of that...they were really going to change it, weren't they? With no blastia, the world wouldn't be the same. The barriers would all disappear, and their magic wouldn't work anymore. He wasn't even sure if the other Entelexia would agree to the plan. Even though they were able to revive Undine, there was no telling what the others would think. This was their world as much as it was for the humans. He believed that what they were doing was right, but that didn't mean everyone else would agree. Change wasn't always welcome. He knew that better than anyone else. Yuri gave a small sigh, scratching his head as he tilted it upwards towards the sky.

The adephagos covered it entirely, appearing through the blue as though it were some sort of large, semi-transparent cloud, encroaching the world. His eyes narrowed, before traveling down to the blastia on his wrist. Maybe he didn't always care for this place. Maybe he wasn't always happy with the way the world was. The empire, the guilds, and even his own place in it all. He wasn't always satisfied with it. But even so, if this journey taught him anything, if the people he'd met and befriended and saved showed him anything, it was that this world was worth protecting.

“I'm not going to let anything happen to this world.” He said to himself, quietly though not yet in a whipser. Almost like he was talking to someone close, someone who wasn't right there with him. “You always liked it, right? I think I get why now.” Maybe, with every thing that had happened, he liked this world.

No matter what stood in his way, he was going to protect it.
